The design archive consists of just over 200 hand painted patterns, the earliest dating from the 1950s, the entire collection spanning thirty years. Here you can view a selection from each decade including some from private collections.

1950-1959

From the family home in Linton, Sheila began designing her first collection of patterns.

1960-1969

During the 1960s, we can see Sheila’s work shift towards a period of floral designs.

1970-1979

Throughout the 1970s Sheila created some bold and colourful work using clever pattern repeats with beautifully formed geometric shapes.
